almasdarnews.com – Complete map of Syrian War: May 26th
The Islamic State (ISIL) is in serious trouble inside Syria, as their forces have conceded a significant amount of territory to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) over the past 48 hours.
In central Syria, the Syrian Arab Army has liberated more than 2,700 square kilometers of territory around the southwestern countryside of Palmyra, freeing up several roads leading to Damascus.
The Syrian Arab Army is also making headway in the eastern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate, where their elite Tiger Forces are steadily advancing to the Islamic State’s stronghold of Maskanah, which is located near the Al-Raqqa Governorate’s provincial border.

theduran.com – US-led air strikes killed record number of civilians in Syria
Air strikes carried out by the US and its coalition partners in Syria have killed the highest number of civilians on record since the bombing campaign began, a war monitor has said.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a group mostly advocating anti-government forces in the war in Syria, said on Tuesday that the US-led coalition killed a total of 225 civilians between April 23 and May 23, the highest 30-day toll since the campaign began in 2014.
“The past month of operations is the highest civilian toll since the coalition began bombing Syria,” Observatory head Rami Abdel Rahman told AFP news agency. “There has been a very big escalation.”
