Even the anti-government militants, whom the SNC presumes to sort-of represent, have rejected it as a political non-entity.

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem says Damascus has presented Russia with a plan for a ceasefire in the northwestern city of Aleppo, ahead of the upcoming Geneva II peace conference.
“I count on the success of this plan if all sides carry out their obligations,” Muallem told a Friday news conference with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, stressing, “We would like this to serve as an example to other towns.”
