An analyst says President Bashar al-Assad’s latest peace initiative is ‘exactly what Syrian people long for’ albeit being against the wishes of the US, KSA and Qatar who are inflaming the crisis in the Arab country

The Syrian president said that the government will call for ”a comprehensive national dialogue” in the near future, albeit stating that the government ”will not have dialogue with a puppet made by the West.” ”Syria wants peace and reconciliation,” he said, adding that ”Armed groups must halt terrorist acts.”
