‘Turkey, NATO, US escalating war against Syria’, Interview with Ralph Schoenman, author and political commentator, Berkeley
You are looking here at a long-prepared undertaking by the Turkish government in conjunction with NATO and the United States to escalate the war against Syria in which Turkey has been a key player.
The actual resolution in parliament was dated 20th of September, which shows they used this incident at Akcakale as a pretext to promote pre-existing plans to obtain authorization for the invasion of Syria.
Now, we have to understand what we are in the presence of here: a long prepared operation by not just the Turkish military, but by NATO itself to initiate an all out war against Syria and we cannot separate this from what is being prepared against Iran.
Syrian Rebels Provoking Turk War? Or Is Turkey a Willing Accomplice?
The situation on the Syria/Turkey border is spiraling out of control, as for five days Turkey has shelled Syria in retaliation for apparent Syrian army shells landing in Turkey. The threat of a wider regional war has never been greater and with Israel chomping at the bit to attack Iran, a limited regional war threatens to become something significantly greater.
The press as usual is spinning propaganda about this dangerous escalation: the madman Assad is so nuts that now he is even attacking Turkey.
Question: Why would the Syrian government, facing an increasingly well-funded and well-trained insurgency where victory is by no means assured, open up a new front against its gigantic NATO-member neighbor to the north?
Question: Why are these ”Syrian army” shells landing on Turkish soil coming from parts of Syria that are occupied by the rebels or where the rebels have a heavy presence?
Question: Why is Turkish army shelling having the effect of driving the Syrian army out of border areas and opening the way for the rebels to seize more and more border towns and crossings?

Tony Cartalucci – Western Propagandists Attempt to Trigger Catastrophic Turkish-Syrian War, Bloomberg, Guardian, Ynet, all air unconfirmed report on ”agreement” for Turkish-Syrian ”buffer zone.”
While the idea of a buffer zone is meant to look like a knee-jerk reaction to a still unjustified exchange of fire on the Turkish-Syrian border, with lingering conflicting reports over who was responsible for initially targeting the Turkish town of Akcacle, in reality this has been planned since at least March of this year, where the idea was proposed by the corporate-financier funded Brookings Institution in their ”Middle East Memo #21” ”Assessing Options for Regime Change” where it stated specifically (emphasis added):
”An alternative is for diplomatic efforts to focus first on how to end the violence and how to gain humanitarian access, as is being done under Annan’s leadership. This may lead to the creation of safe-havens and humanitarian corridors, which would have to be backed by limited military power. This would, of course, fall short of U.S. goals for Syria and could preserve Asad in power. From that starting point, however, it is possible that a broad coalition with the appropriate international mandate could add further coercive action to its efforts.” -page 4, Assessing Options for Regime Change, Brookings Institution.
Webster Tarpley – World needs Turkey-Syria peace
The likely explanation is that the push for war is indeed coming from Obama and Hillary Clinton, doubtless seconded by Prime Minister David Cameron and the British Foreign Office. With polls showing that only 18% of the Turkish population is willing to entertain a conflict with Damascus, the world is hoping that peace can be restored between Turkey and Syria.
US dictates Turkey’s role in Syria unrest, commentator says
, Interview with Joe Iosbaker, political analyst, Chicago
It’s been said that Turkey is responding to the shelling of the border town, but I think in truth Turkey is responding to orders from its puppet master — the United States government.
What Turkey is doing has to be condemned in the strongest possible terms, and I think pretty clearly that the people of Turkey agree with that, that this is a move towards war not in the interests of the Turkish people, certainly not in the interest of peace but at the bidding of the United States government.
