Russian aid to Syria

Russia has supplied the Syrian Red Crescent with 80 tons of food, blankets and tents.
It has also donated 2mln Swiss francs to the International Red Cross, $4.5mln to the World Food Programme and $1.5mln to the UN humanitarian affairs office.
The money will go to buy aid supplies for Syrian civilians, including thousands of refugees from Syria.

Is also said Russia continues its efforts to persuade the sides in the Syrian conflict renounce violence and enter into a political dialogue.
