Ändå fortsätter medierna med sin propagandakampanj, och den hysteriska Hilary Clinton blir alltmer desperat – Assad could be classified as a war criminal – Clinton

En bra artikel av en schweizisk journalist som har varit på plats i Syrien – Homs: Horror of Organised Armed Groups, Not Damascus

Homs, now, is nothing but a sinister battlefield where government soldiers face armed groups which, according to independent witnesses about the true nature of the rebellion, are blindly firing cannon shots to sow terror and death, then pretending that only government forces are bombarding the city.
The Western media continue, for its part, to adduce as evidence the statements of local committees which spread propaganda of the armed ”opponents”, in coordination with the Syrian Observatory of Human Rights, a London-based body created and funded by the rebellion-allied forces [2].

Who would believe in Bashar Al Assad’s interest in torturing his people, in raping children and girls? Who would believe that the majority of the Syrian people would continue supporting Bashar Al Assad if he was really such a bloody torturer as painted in the West for the purpose of war propaganda?
These incessant campaigns which defend the violent opposition, and not the people terrorized and oppressed by these rebels, are dangerous. They aim to bring grist to foreign power’s mill – France, Great Britain, the United States, backed by Qatar and Saudi Arabia – which have been preparing for months the ground for a military intervention in Syria, and are just waiting for the green light by Obama.

I have just returned from Syria. Like so many who care about what happens there, I went because I wanted to see, listen, ask questions, overhear conversations, watch dedicated 24-hour television propaganda channels (both for and against the government), read graffiti, and experience what sort of realities Syrians are now creating for themselves. There are daily flights out of the UAE. My flight was full.
I also went to Syria specifically to dig out all the details of my adoptive nephew’s kidnapping by opposition ‘forces’ a couple of weeks earlier.
The 18-year-old is in the first months of his obligatory military service and was returning back to his military posting after a short leave pass home, riding a civilian bus between a provincial town near his home and Damascus. The bus was stopped outside Homs by what appeared to be a security roadblock. Eight heavily armed men in military uniform boarded the bus and demanded that those serving in the military raise their hands. My nephew did so, along with a few others. They were taken off the bus, blindfolded, put in cars and driven away.
Two days later the kidnappers called the young man’s family, using his mobile phone, and berated them for letting their son ‘fight for Assad’ instead of fighting against the government and doing his Muslim duty. The family begged for mercy. The phone hung up. An excruciating six days later another call came advising that for a 500,000 Syrian Pound ransom (currently about $8,000), they could collect him.

Sharmine Narwani – Questioning the Syrian “Casualty List”

Nir Rosen, an American journalist who spent several months insides Syria’s hot spots in 2011, with notable access to armed opposition groups, reported in a recent Al Jazeera interview:
Every day the opposition gives a death toll, usually without any explanation of the cause of the deaths. Many of those reported killed are in fact dead opposition fighters, but the cause of their death is hidden and they are described in reports as innocent civilians killed by security forces, as if they were all merely protesting or sitting in their homes. Of course, those deaths still happen regularly as well.
And, every day, members of the Syrian army, security agencies and the vague paramilitary and militia phenomenon known as shabiha [”thugs”] are also killed by anti-regime fighters,” Rosen continues.

Michel Chossudovsky and Finian Cunningham – Syria: Clinton Admits US On Same Side As Al Qaeda To Destabilise Assad Government

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has acknowledged that Al Qaeda and other organizations on the US “terror list” are supporting the Syrian opposition.
Clinton said: “We have a very dangerous set of actors in the region, al-Qaida [sic], Hamas, and those who are on our terrorist list, to be sure, supporting – claiming to support the opposition [in Syria].” [1] (Click here to watch video)
Yet at the same time, in the above BBC interview the US Secretary of State repeats the threadbare Western claim that the situation in Syria is one of a defenceless population coming under “relentless attack” from Syrian government forces.
There is ample evidence that teams of snipers who have been killing civilians over the past year in Syria belong to the terrorist formations to which Clinton is referring to.

The admission at the weekend by Hillary Clinton corroborates the finding that armed groups are attacking civilians and these groups are terroristic, according to US own definitions, and that the situation in Syria is not one of unilateral state violence against its population but rather is one of a shadowy armed insurrection.
Clinton’s admission retrospectively justifies the stance taken by Russia and China, both of which vetoed the proposed UN Security Council Resolution on 4 February, precisely because that proposal was predicated on a spurious notion that the violence in Syria was solely the responsibility of the Al Assad government.

Besides, such a declaration by Saudi Arabia and Qatar of being willing to arm Syrian insurrectionists, can be seen as a cynical cover for what is already taking place. It is known that the Gulf monarchical states are already supplying weapons illicitly to the self-styled Syrian Free Army, along with Turkey and Israel.
So far, the US is officially maintaining the fiction that it is not involved in supplying arms to Syria even though Washington has demanded “regime change” and in spite of evidence that Western covert forces, including American, British and French operatives, are actively engaged with the opposition groups.
It is richly ironic that the unelected fundamentalist Sunni regimes of the Persian Gulf are supporting Al Qaeda affiliated groups within Syria purportedly to “bring about democratic reforms”. This is the same dynamic that prevailed in Libya where the overthrow of that country’s government by Western and Gulf Arab powers has now led to a collapse in human rights and social conditions.
Once again, Syria is indicating the same alignment of allies: Washington, London and other NATO powers comfortably in bed with Sunni/Salafist tyrants and terrorists, claiming to be supporting democratic freedom and human rights.

89% vote in favor of new Syrian Constitution

According to the minister, out of 14,580,000 Syrians eligible to vote some 8,376,000, or about 57 per cent, actually came to the polling stations and voted, RT’s Maria Finoshina reports from Damascus.

Syria’s armed groups get Franco-US aid: Reportvideo

A defected military officer, who refused to be named, told reporters in the western Syrian city of Al-Qusayr on Tuesday that armed groups receive “French and American assistance.”
He then clarified that the group had received weapons and anti-aircraft missiles from France and the United States.

19th French agent arrested in Syria

Voltaire Network has learned from reliable source that a French officer was taken prisoner by the Syrian National Army on Monday, 27 February 2012, at Azouz (Idlib district, near the Turkish border).
The arrest brings to 19 (nineteen) the number of French prisoners held by Damascus.

The only purpose of an urgent UN debate on the human rights situation in Syria was “to put international community against the Syrian authorities”, Russia’s deputy foreign minister Gennady Gatilov said.
He believes that there was no need calling an urgent conference on the issue, because it was aimed at proclaiming the government in Damascus ‘illegitimate’.
“We can`t allow this to happen”, Gatilov said, adding that the Syrian regime had taken certain measures to improve the human rights situation and launch democratic reforms in the region.
The diplomat insists that attempts to impose democracy through the use of force will inevitably cause a reverse effect.

For the release of our compatriots and colleagues held captive in Baba Amr

The Syrian generals deemed that the Battle of Homs was won on 13 February and reported to President Bashar al-Assad that it was over on Thursday, 23 February, at 1900 hours.
Victory does not have the same meaning for civilians as for the military. The former dream of a return to a peaceful life. The latter proclaim it much in the same way as a surgeon at the end of a successful operation. The fact remains that the injured are still subjected to months of treatment and years of rehabilitation. Specifically, what the end of the battle means to them is that the rebels have been confined inside a completely encircled area and no longer pose a threat to their security.

If the world loses Syria, there seems no further bright future for the world

Anyway the gathering in Tunis might mean the US-led “despicable” gangster act is definitely a step closer for their nakedly direct military acts against Syria if the world, particularly China and Russia and the rest of the world further hesitate to find out what to do with the situation other than repeating their usual, ordinary and normal DIPLOMATIC efforts.
In other words, if China and Russia and the rest of the world continue their diplomatic overtures which seem to have been TOO NICE, TOO GENTLE, TOO ORDINARY, TOO DIPLOMATIC, thereby could-be interpreted TOO NAIVE while US and its mercenary subordinates further step up their ALREADY TOO MUCH UGLY, TOO MUCH VILE, TOO MUCH EXTRAORDINARY, and TOO MUCH VIOLENT in their CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY, it seems there won’t be any bright future NOT ONLY in the Middle East region BUT ALSO for the rest of the world.

Christof Lehmann – Syria Referendum: A Battle Won A War and Peace to Win

Yesterday more than 100.000 Syrians demonstrated in Damascus and in massive demonstrations in other cities that Syrians, including the “real opposition” whose leaders have taken actively part in writing the new constitution, and who are eager to see stability and the next coming elections. Both the draft constitution, the massive turnout, as well as the pro Syrian, anti foreign involvement, and anti “Friends of Syria” protests have been the massive PR disaster that the Iznogood Alliance of the Friends of Syria wanted to avoid at all costs. An not surprisingly, the Western Main Stream Media are omitting the massive turnout and anti foreign protests.

I den här artikeln i The Wall Street Journal – U.S.
State Department quietly warning region on Syrian WMDs

Syria is believed to have a substantial chemical weapons program, which includes mustard gas and sophisticated nerve agents, such as sarin gas, as well as biological weapons.

In addition to the danger of proliferation, there is a concern that Assad could actually use his WMDs if his situation becomes desperate.
”The WMD program is in play now, and that’s important because it highlights the innate danger that the existence of this regime poses to U.S. security and regional interests,” the administration official said

Terrible background information comes from reliable sources in Amman and Ankara/Istanbul.
40-43’000 mercenaries are ready in Jordan to attack Syria. (1) Turkey has openly set up a mercenary recruitment office in Amman’s Mekkah Street. Since last early summer they are active in finding personnel to do dirty jobs in neighbouring Syria.

Tomorrow’s “referendum battle” will be used to push for “humanitarian corridors”, which in turn will be misused as influx roads of the mercenaries – and to literally cut Syria to pieces. Already the “Red Crescent” commandos have reached the battleground of Homs.

Tomorrow’s “referendum battle” will be used to push for “humanitarian corridors”, which in turn will be misused as influx roads of the mercenaries – and to literally cut Syria to pieces. Already the “Red Crescent” commandos have reached the battleground of Homs. The author remembers well, how he toured Soviet-occupied Afghanistan in Saudi-paid spy-team driven ambulances, rattling with weapons and ammunition for the Mujahideen – more than twenty years ago.
That makes it clear: NATO is not considering any challenge to Russian and Iranian naval forces in Tartus. US-led NATO and Arab allies bank on irregular forces for their regime change effort. Plus heavy employment of special commandos and spies.

Press TV – Syrian rebels confirm receiving arms from Western countries

Syrian rebels have confirmed that foreign countries, including the West, are arming them to fight against the government of President Bashar al-Assad.
Speaking at an international conference on Syria unrest in Tunisia, a Syrian opposition source said on Friday that several countries are providing armed groups in Syria with weapons, which are being smuggled into the country.

Press TV: A number of big players this Friends of Syria meeting. Taking that into account, will it accomplish anything at all?
Tarpley: Well, of course it is very notable that Russia, China, and indeed Lebanon, a country that is immediately involved with Syria, will be boycotting this meeting. This meeting bills itself as the Friends of Syria, and all I can say is that with friends like that, you don’t need enemies. The purpose of the conference is to bring the wonderful benefits of NATO bombing and a civil war on the Libyan model to Syria.

Webster Tarpley varnar för en false flag-händelse:

February 23, 2012
A reliable Russian source in Syria warns that al Jazeera is about to launch within hours a major false flag provocation. Al Jazeera will allege that 17 children have been killed by Assad’s forces. These children are already dead, and have been killed by NATO death squads. The goal is to create an atmosphere of hysteria at the Tunis “Friends of Syria” conference today Friday, which otherwise threatens to be a fiasco due to the boycott by Russia, China, and Lebanon, and due to the fragmented nature of the Syria opposition.
Please spread this story as fast as you can as a highest priority False Flag Alert.
–Webster Tarpley

Hilary Clinton hotar:

”There will be increasingly capable opposition forces. They will from somewhere, somehow, find the means to defend themselves as well as begin offensive measures,” Clinton said.

Syrian Rebels Get Arms from Abroad: source

Foreign powers are turning a blind eye to weapons purchases by Syrian exiles who are already smuggling light arms, communications equipment and night vision goggles to rebels inside Syria, a Syrian opposition source said on Friday.
Syrian opposition supporters were also trying to bring anti-aircraft and anti-tank weapons to the Free Syrian Army rebels, and to get retired Syrian officers into the country to help coordinate military opposition to President Bashar al-Assad.
The source was speaking at a meeting of Western and Arab nations which will demand that, in the absence of international resolve to intervene to end Assad’s crackdown on an 11-month revolt, Syria allow aid to be delivered to civilians caught in fighting.
“We are bringing in defensive and offensive weapons… It is coming from everywhere, including Western countries and it is not difficult to get anything through the borders,” the source told Reuters, speaking on condition of anonymity.

.. the Russian General Staff, Intelligence Services as well as the Russian Politicians, are well aware of the fact, that neither NATO, nor the NATO, Qatari, Saudi backed armed insurgents are interested in finding a peaceful solution. The question for NATO planners is no longer “if” but “how” to attack Syria and how to get away with while keeping Russia outside of the military equation. It is a high stakes gamble, with nothing less than the possibility of a regional war which could rapidly develop into a global war at stake.
How to get away with murder – Over 40.000 NATO backed armed insurgents massed in a military staging area in Jordan, along the Syrian border. Approximately 18.000 of these men are under the command of Libyan Al Qaeda commander and long-standing NATO ally Abdelhakim Belhadj.

On 26 February the people of Syria will hold a referendum about a draft Constitution. (12) A constitution which Preamble is a direct slap in the face of the new want to be colonial powers and their allies.(13) A massive turnout at the referendum, or massive popular support in favor of it, would not have much military significance; it would however, be an absolute domestic and international public relations disaster for the USA, NATO, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Jordan.

As reported in a recent article by the author, a Palestinian Intelligence source in Turkey informed, that massive terrorist attacks are to be expected in Syria on the day of the referendum. These attacks will be followed by a massive attack, including the deployment of the fighters now stationed in Jordan, not later than 7 March. (ibid.) 40.000, even 50.000 troops are far from sufficient to seriously threaten the Syrian military. They are however sufficient to create so much chaos, that the fighting can be sold as “a massive popular uprising” in Western Main Stream Media”.

The only player who is holding the “Joker” that could turn the game around seems to be China. It is the only player who could demand an US and NATO policy of non-interference, and demand that NATO calls back it´s bloodhounds. Back off or drown in worthless Dollar and Euro. China would most likely have the support of the BRIC and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and a Cohort of non aligned countries. The question is, will it play the “Joker” and pay a heavy price for peace now, or does it count on defending itself later, while letting NATO get away with murder for the time being.
